The process for getting into a competitive college

                    Getting into a competitive college

"Education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom."George Washington Carver. In order to get into Yale University you need a high GPA, high SAT scores, take AP courses and lastly extracurricular activities.Get good grades, if you want to stand a chance of getting into a competitive college you need to get good grades. The higher your grades are the better. Students with high GPA's get more attention from the admissions department and more financial assistance from the aid office. 
The second step, is score high on the SAT, with a high GPA and a high SAT score,you may not only get into a competitive college you could also be offered free scholarship. You can increase your score by picking up good SAT prep guide or by taking an SAT prep course.
The third step is take AP courses, if your high school offers advanced placement (AP) courses, you need to take them. These courses will allow to earn college tuition. They will also show admissions  officers that you are serious about your education. 
The fourth step is get involved, participating in extracurricular activities, charities, and community events will enrich your life and your college application. When picking your extracurriculars choose something that you enjoy and/or have a passion for. This will make the time you spend on these activities much more fulfilling.
Once you have good grades, high SAT score, take AP courses and extracurricular activities you will be set to go to a competitive college. Navigating college and high school is difficult but with a little help you can make the right move. Just keep striving never settle for less. It is always best to have a A,B,C plan just in case your A plan doesn't work you will have your B plan and your C plan is always your backup plan.Never be affraid to ask for help later in life you will pat yourself on the back and feel good with the positive decisions you made.
In conclusion you should have a high GPA,high SAT score and Get involved because you will go far in life,most likely you would be able to have/get any job you want.Having a high GPA can also make your life much easier and they also get more attention than people with low GPA. Those are the process you can take if you want to get into a competitive college.
